It was in June 2023 that I filmed these excavators and mist cannons. The mist cannons were wetting the rubble because it was contaminated with PCBs: Poly-Chlorinated BiPhenyls. These are cancer-causing agents and the reason Burlington High School was being demolished. By keeping it wet, the particles couldn’t blow in the wind.
What they were working on had been A Building, which had been the main entrance and where the administrative offices had been located.
