Children’s Graves Revisited at Lakeview Cemetery

When I filmed these children’s graves back in June 2021, several headstones were tipped forward. This made some of them unreadable. There were others that were leaning in other directions as well. In September 2022, people from the Howard Center and the Vermont Old Cemetery Association joined forces to straighten these headstones. I must sayContinue reading “Children’s Graves Revisited at Lakeview Cemetery”

Burlington High School Kitchen: To Be Demolished!

I was granted permission to film the INTERIOR of a few areas inside of A Building. These areas included the auditorium, cafeteria and gymnasium. I also filmed the kitchen and a very short video of the area where the switchboard operator, Pearl Milisci, had worked. I say “area” because that space had been enlarged. ThisContinue reading “Burlington High School Kitchen: To Be Demolished!”

Burlington High School Cafeteria: Soon To Be Demolished!

When I attended Burlington High School, there were long and heavy brown tables used as lunch tables. In fact, when I sat for the SATs, those same tables were used again. Nowadays, round tables are the norm. Each seats eight students. I have been told that the cafeteria is actually quieter now. Students are noContinue reading “Burlington High School Cafeteria: Soon To Be Demolished!”

BHS Gymnasium

According to the woman who escorted me around A Building, the newer bleachers will be removed and used in the new gym. They may need to cut them down some because they are too wide. I took two gym classes when I was at BHS. The first one was an aerobics class and the onlyContinue reading “BHS Gymnasium”

Burlington High School Auditorium

As I was recording my video in the Burlington High School auditorium, I had wanted to share stories of my time in the Drama Club at BHS. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and it was out of my control. Thus, you will be able to find those stories right here. I shall share stories and hopefully,Continue reading “Burlington High School Auditorium”

Murder of Crows A-Gathering

Years ago and long before I had my YouTube channel, I lived in an apartment building on the top floor. Every so often, a murder of crows would gather in all the trees, telephone wires and buildings. They would caw and caw and caw. Afterwards, they would suddenly fly as a flock. It could beContinue reading “Murder of Crows A-Gathering”

The Ticonderoga: National Historic Landmark

“The steamboat Ticonderoga is one of two remaining side-paddle-wheel passenger steamers with a vertical beam engine of the type that provided freight and passenger service on America’s bays, lakes and rivers from the early 19th to the mid-20th centuries. Commissioned by the Champlain Transportation Company, Ticonderoga was built in 1906 at the Shelburne Shipyard inContinue reading “The Ticonderoga: National Historic Landmark”

New Mausoleum at Lakeview Cemetery!

A few weeks ago I had filmed a section of Lakeview Cemetery. I saw 3 slabs of concrete and wondered if a crypt or mausoleum would be places there. I was there again very recently with a friend. Sure enough, today’s video answers the question!
