WHO LIVED IN THIS HOUSE?

“Machines did! This building, from Westport, NY, housed the machinery needed to haul a boat uphill along a set of railroad tracks, called a marine railway system. The railroad tracks that belonged to this system were originally used in the iron mines in Mineville, NY.”-Lake Champlain Maritime Museum

I love machinery! Join me as I walk inside and marvel at all the necessary components of this machine shack. It smelled like oil in there, which added to the ambiance.
