Ruby Arizona Ghost Town’s Unknown Buildings

The two buildings in today’s video had no numbers on them.  The number signs on the buildings coincided with the numbers on the tour sheet, which contains a brief history of each structure in Ruby, Arizona.

The caretaker had mentioned there had been strong winds a day or two before.  And this caused a variety of number signs to be blown off the buildings.

Thus, these structures may not actually be “unknown”.  Their numbers may just have flown off with the breeze.  🙂

Brief History:

Ruby, Arizona is a ghost town now, but was a mining town in its heyday.  Gold, silver and copper were the first deposits depleted.  These were followed by zinc and finally, lead.  Ruby became the number one zinc producing mine in the United States.  As zinc deposits dwindled, miners dug lower and discovered lead.
