GUIDED TOUR of the Lincoln Historical Society Museum

Fabulous Wares!

“Did you know that Lincoln, Vermont is named after Revolutionary War General Benjamin Lincoln?”

“The Lincoln Historical Society (LHS) is dedicated to preserving the history of the Town of Lincoln, Vermont, which includes the communities of Downingsville, West Lincoln and South Lincoln. The LHS operates a museum located in a restored 19th-century farmhouse and barn in Lincoln Center. The house and barn are furnished with a growing collection of objects, documents and images that tell the stories of our town and its people…”-https://www.lincolnvthistory.org/

On Sunday, October 8, 2023, I visited the Lincoln Historical Society Museum in Lincoln, Vermont. It happened to be the last day they were open for the season. They absolutely must close because the farmhouse has no heat.

Rhonda and Lucinda were warm and welcoming. I truly enjoyed listening to their stories on and off camera. They clearly love what they are doing as volunteers. And, honestly, they are extraordinarily knowledgeable.

Once this museum opens again in June 2024, I highly recommend visiting. Plus, there is the Old English Barn and the cupola with the Baptist church bell inside it.

They accept donations! In fact, here is the link to their donation/membership page: https://www.lincolnvthistory.org/membership-and-support
