This was only a few days after the devastating rains, which flooded several parts of Vermont. To watch how strong and powerful the current was days later was amazingContinue reading “Winooski River: Post July Flooding 2023”

The Winooski River After the July 2023 Flood

https://youtube.com/shorts/H1HP_LppXZw?feature=share According to the Washington Post: “The rainfall that hit parts of Vermont on Monday [July 10, 2023] had less than a 1-in-100 chance of occurring in any given year, according to federal flood data. And yet, for some residents, it brought a sense of déjà vu — it rivaled the devastation of another so-calledContinue reading “The Winooski River After the July 2023 Flood”

Thunderstorm

https://youtube.com/shorts/J4BJxZiMLEk?feature=share There was an alert for a severe thunderstorm. I was inside. What did I do? I walked out to my patio, sat down and waited for Mother Nature to do her thing. I hope you enjoy the sound of thunder because it rumbles throughout. 🙂

FOG!

https://youtube.com/shorts/ya7Lm1IZgdA?feature=share Monday’s video is an exceptionally short one: only 5 SECONDS! I saw fog enveloping a golf course and was mesmerized. As I sat at a stop sign with my turn signal ticking and no one behind me, I knew I had to capture it. Please enjoy! REMINDER: All videos go live at 12:30 amContinue reading “FOG!”

Whiteout of Trees

Thunderstorm and Stream

https://youtube.com/shorts/FLAVHDDX0K4?feature=share Watch the stream run down through the grass during this thunderstorm! Heavy rain, thunder and the bonus stream are elements I absolutely love! How about you???

Rolling Thunder & Rain

I love a thunderstorm! Rolling thunder is particularly wonderful, isn’t it? So, please enjoy the sounds of thunder and rain! I filmed this in August 2022. Given it is winter here, I wanted to revisit the heat of summer.

This particular fog, called a steam fog, forms when cold air drifts across relatively warm water. The lake water evaporates into the air above the lake surface.Continue reading “Fog Rolling Over Lake Champlain”

Peonies Passing on By!

“…Often, peonies were planted at the head of graves in cemeteries, assuring there would always be flowers in memory should there be no one left to decorate them. Once planted, peonies were good for a hundred years or more… …Nothing could be easier to grow than a peony. They thrive on neglect once established. TheContinue reading “Peonies Passing on By!”

Pouring Rain and a Clap of Thunder

I absolutely LOVE when I see a “SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING” via The Weather Channel show up on my phone! I’ll often go sit on my patio and watch it roll in. In fact, for this one, multiple neighbors also came outside to enjoy Mother Nature’s show.
