Moses Dudley: American Civil War

Moses Dudley was born in Saint-Mark, Canada East in 1821. He enlisted on January 1, 1862. He mustered in on February 12, 1862 as a Private in Company C with the 7th Vermont Infantry. Dudley would muster out on February 25, 1863.

He applied for his pension on March 23, 1863. After his death on December 5, 1905, his widow, Rosella, applied for the same pension thirteen days later on December 18, 1905.

“Obituary:

East Middlebury

Moses Dudley, a former resident of this place, died at the home of his son, Brandon, Tuesday, December 5, at the age of 84 years. Funeral services were held from St. Barabas chapel the following Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Mr. Carpenter officiating. The interment was in Prospect cemetery.”
