Stupid Scammer!

Recently, I was at home, sitting in my living room and minding my own business. I realized a man was knocking on my patio door. I want to note my patio door is NOT my front door.

Given I was at home, I was not dressed to answer my door. Plus, I did not know or even recognize him. What did I do? I ignored him. Once he tired of knocking, and he certainly would have seen me sitting nearby, I saw him walking away from the front entrance of my section of the building.

Alas, he had turned around and did enter the building and began knocking at my door. I opted to dress more appropriately in order to address him. I walked outside from my patio door as he was exiting the building. That’s when I asked him, “What do you want?”.

Sit down and buckle up! You will NOT BELIEVE what he told me! I’m writing this and still cannot believe his drivel.

He stated he worked for a plumbing company and had done work in my unit a year or maybe 2 YEARS ago, left his flashlight behind and was here to get it. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Is THAT not the most ludicrous thing you’ve ever heard??? If he worked as a plumber, he could easily afford another flashlight. I have a really good one, which cost me about $42. And he hadn’t needed a flashlight in the last 1 to 2 YEARS???

I had raised my voice to him and he just smirked. That’s all right. I got revenge.

A few hours later and after I thought about it, I called the police. Spoke to the dispatcher and told him what happened. He agreed that it sounded like a scam. So, he added it to the watch list.

I just can’t make this stuff up!
