I found another cemetery fountain! This one is located inside of Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Vermont. A fountain in a cemetery suggests it was a Victorian Lawn Park cemetery. I could see the area closest to the street has started as a rural cemetery. The area in the back and farther from the street has morphed into this newer style.
Unfortunately, the fountain itself is no longer in place. Its base stands in the center awaiting its return. There are weeds where there once was flowing water. How I’d love to see the fountain working again there…
Greenwood Cemetery still has burial plots available. Perhaps a fountain will again be present to offer the tranquility of water sounds…
