The first burial in Lake View Cemetery was in 1799. There are 1286 graves. Although it is across from St. Genevieve Cemetery, it is otherwise surrounded by empty land.

The day I filmed, there were several vehicles that had come and gone. People arrived to care for the graves of friends and family. I was happy to witness that activity.
