Quick Stroll of East Cemetery in Williston, Vermont

In today’s video, I offer a quick stroll of the East Cemetery in Williston, Vermont. It is about four acres in size.

Blanketed in snow that was ankle deep in spots and with the sun setting, I still managed to film some interesting graves. My favorite was a metal headstone with a photograph of a woman. I really like when there is a picture included because it’s interesting to see what someone looked like. I imagine when her family visited, they preferred seeing her as she had been.

The East Cemetery in Williston, Vermont, is one of the oldest cemeteries in the town of Williston. Internments began around the late 18th or early 19th century. Walking this cemetery, you may recognize the names of early settlers here.
